Grayhawk General Update 8/4/2021
Dear Past, Present, and Future Customers, subs, and friends and family of Grayhawk,
We need to take a moment to bring you up to date on what is happening behind the scenes here:
Due to the recent sharp rise in Covid cases and the increased concern over variants, we are reimplementing a few of the safety protocols that we had in place earlier. We will be resuming showroom visits by appointment only. Anyone inside our building will be REQUIRED to wear a mask. We are trying to limit the number of people inside the building at any given moment as much as possible. This is for your safety as well as the safety of our staff.
As many of you already know, supply chain issues have increased the time it takes to receive even the most common materials. The products and materials that have to run through production lines ( windows/doors/cabinets/etc.. ) have been most impacted, and human resources have been affected as well.
Even here at Grayhawk, we have and are currently experiencing a human resources shortage. Currently, we have 5 employees quarantined at home due to Covid. This will set us back a bit on our scheduling, but we have dealt with this before and will get through it again.
Historically, we’ve been able to keep a relatively standard and smooth scheduling timeline.
In a normal world, a Remodeling project is estimated to start about 8-10 weeks from the time a contract is signed. 10-16 weeks on Windows and Doors, and around 3-5 weeks for Roofing projects. Of course, these are always subject to special circumstances such as engineering, special orders, etc…but we’ve generally been on target.
Now? Not as much. As some of you are aware, we have recently had ship dates on some products as far as 40+ weeks out.
We tell you all of this not to make excuses, but to be completely transparent. We want to let you know we regret these delays and the anxiety they cause for you. You have trusted us with one of the biggest investments of your life, your home and we thank you. We promise not to let you down when it comes to our level of quality and service, but our usual ability to “promise” that your products will be here and that we will start and/or finish by a hard date is simply not possible at this time.
Please understand that we are unable to give you a definitive answer on when your project will begin or when your product(s) will arrive. This is not because we don’t want to, or are not trying. We have built our reputation on our word and we rarely, if ever give up.
So, from our family to yours, we thank you for your patience and understanding in these times. We are excited to complete your project and deliver that outstanding customer experience you can only receive with Grayhawk!
